Well, if the all-knowing ‘they’ are right and we’re to expect more snow over Easter weekend, I’ll be huddled up in bed or maybe the sofa, but on the off chance they’re wrong and spring has actually sprung, here are 10 Easter Egg themed activities on the Isle of Wight.

  1. Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt
    Bembridge Windmill 
    30 March – 2 April

    Follow the Easter egg trail through the grounds of the windmill, solve the puzzle and claim your chocolate prize.Usual National Trust entry applies, or free for members, plus £1.50 for a trail sheet.

    Also on at Mottistone Gardens, Needles Old Battery,  and  Newtown National Nature Reserve.

  2. Tapnell Farm
    30 March – 2 April

    “Take part in the Egg Adventure Trail. Simply pick up a trail map, solve the clues, and then claim your chocolatey prize.”This Easter, Tapnell Farm Park will be opening a Hatchery where you will get to watch little chicks on their journey from eggs in an incubator to our fluffy feathered friends.You can help our Keepers look after baby lambs in the twice daily bottle feeding sessions, as well as join in all our other Animal Encounters happening throughout the day.

    Say hello to our little critters and bugs and beasties, and of course hand-feed our wonderful mob of Wallabies, and meet the Meerkats! “

  4. Easter Eggsplorers at Blackgang Chine

  5. Brading Down Dragon Egg Hunt (Gift to Nature)
    2 April 12pm 1pm 2pm or 3pm.

  6. Newclose Easter Eggstravaganza @ Newclose Cricket Ground

  7.  Arreton Barns

  8. Robin Hill Easter Egg Dash

    Little ones will be invited to join in the fun at 12pm, and the over six-year olds can come and have their turn to hunt for tokens and win their prizes at 2pm. With a huge range of prizes, we’re sure nobody will go home empty handed!  

  9. Easter Chick Hunt @ Puckpools Park

  10. Daisy Chains/Brading Roman Villa Easter Egg Hunt
    31 March at 11 AM – 3 PM
    Entry free but £3 per child

    “Egg Hunt will involve searching for clues around the villa and then collect your medium egg.  Our Easter Bonnet and Decorated Egg competitions will also be back and this year we will be holding a Bonnet Parade led by Miss Ann and her fairies to show off all those lovely home made bonnets at 1pm. Entries will be as follows and must be on the judging table By 12.30pm for judging.
